Memorial Day Getaway

I am really looking forward to a little escape with our family for the weekend. 4 days of no responsibility, no bills, no mail,no cleaning my house, no work. Just playing with my kids and my hubby! Hope you all have a nice Memorial Day Weekend!

The Weather

OK- so I try not to say too much about the weather, because I don't want to sound like I'm complaining. After all- I've spent the past 6 years whining about 115 degrees in Las Vegas. So now we're in Utah and I do love that we haven't even hit the 80's yet. But I'm ready! I'm ready for some consistently warm weather. I was happy to see snow melt and sunshine arrive, but now it seems that it's constantly teasing us. Since March we've been back and forth with 1/2 week of sunny nice weather, and 1/2 of the week rain and clouds. We use to be able to watch the weather once a month in Vegas and know that we were going to have Sun. Now we must watch every day. We get our hopes up with a forecast of warming trends, only to be disappointed the next day when they realize a storm is blowing in. The silver lining? We love getting the much needed moisture, and we've learned to take advantage of every little pocket of good weather. If it's not raining then we are out playing. And I've learned that a little mud covering my 2 boys is really no big deal. The fun they have outside is definitely worth the mess.

Congrats to the Dabbs!

I'm just sitting here at my computer wishing I could be in Vegas with my friends! Our good friends the Dabbs are going through the temple today for the first time and are going to be sealed as a family tommorrow for all Eternity. I'm so happy for you guys! You are an amazing family and we love you so much.

Comparisons

I just thought it was fun to compare their 1 year birthday pictures. I can't even believe these 2 are brothers. They look completely different. And I'm not sure if I had any part in Brady- because he is ALL Jason!

For Sarah

This is for Sarah (one of my best friends) because I guess I don't post enough pics of my 2nd child. Which is funny, because most of the time he is by far our favorite!:) I do love both of my kids, but my little baby just turned 1 on Friday!! I can't even believe it. He is still such a baby to me and until he turned 1 he has been a complete angel. I don't know what's been going on this week, we'll see if it keeps up, but right now Carter is in the lead as far as brownie points go.

This is Brady thinking about eating the cake. It took a few cousins helping, and about 15 minutes before he actually ate any of it on his own. I guess he just wasn't in the mood.

This is what Brady did while all the other kids opened his presents. I guess this is what happens when you're not the 1st child. He is always happy if he has a ball in his hand. It's the one word we hear all day long.

What can I say about that pic? I just love my sweet Brade! Just don't look at the cake. After 2 failed attempts at making a baseball cake, I called up the grocery store. :)

Happy Birthday Brady! We couldn't be happier that you're ours. And if the rest of your life goes like the 1st year, you're siblings might all hate you because you've kind of stolen our hearts.

I can't wait for these...

It's beautiful outside and I can't wait to see what color my tulips are when they bloom. Having a long winter really makes me look forward to spring!

Since we moved

After finally downloading our pictures last night I was looking through realizing that it's been a fun couple of months. Amidst all the stress, chaos, and sick kids; I seem to have forgotten all the fun things we've done. These are some random pics, but just a few things that we've been up to since we moved.

I know you've all seen this picture once before, but we are now potty trained! It helps to wait until they're ready. It turns out that it makes it a LOT easier!

Went snowshoeing for the first time! Thanks Mike and Lauren it was a blast!
