These are for Grandma

Yes, he is finally sitting! He's getting pretty good, but we still keep a few pillows out for those times that he's having too much fun to catch himself.

Hmmm...Think he's a Sant??!

Ahh... the joys of eating!
Mmmm... Yummy green beans and bananas!!
And, he thinks he can feed himself too.
Do you think this kid likes to eat??!!
I finally finished the enrichment project that our ward did! I don't know why it took me so long, but after lots of stressing about getting it right, it's finally done! You're my inspiration Lauren, thanks! I thought these blocks were such a fun idea for Valentine's day.

There are Rainbows after Rain

As I opened my blinds to see what the day looked like after our storm last night. This is what I saw off our balcony. The picture doesn't do it justice, but it was so pretty.

Our Cute President Hinckley

We heard the sad news last night about President Hinckley's passing. What an amazing man he was. I was so sad to hear about it, and at the same time so happy for him that he can go be with his cute wife. I don't even know what to say to convey how I feel about him. It's amazing that someone you've never met in person can have such a profound effect on your life. We have learned so many lessons from him and I know we'll continue to learn more even though he's not with us. I don't know if I'll ever feel the same way about another prophet. He was just the best! We love you President Hinckley!

Whiney kids!

I don't know if carter is teething or what- but he has been especially whiney today! I can't believe he actually slept for 4 hours this past week! Now he won't even sleep for an hour before he's up crying. And being Sunday doesn't help. He hasn't had a good nap all day! So, that is my venting for the day- I love the kid, but I'm ready for tonight, so I can enjoy a few hours with no crying!

It's been almost 4 hours!!

This is Carter at this very moment. He's been sleeping for almost 4 hours!!! I keep going in to wake him up, but he's sleeping so deeply. Does it look like he's gettin up any time soon?! Maybe today we'll make the transition to only 2 naps! And do you think I should put some clothes on him? It's now 12:30 and he's still in his 'jams.

Love This!

My parents bought us this picture for Christmas and I am so excited about it. My brother painted it and I love it! Just hung it up in our kitchen, and I'm thinking about putting a vinyl quote with it, but can't think of what to put. Any ideas?

Blog Hopping

I know I'm a little behind on all of this, but I just did my first official blog hopping. It's amazing how many people you can keep up with just by seeing other peoples links! I love everyone's blogs, and it's fun to see what everyone is up to. Since the holidays I haven't been in the picture mode so much. I guess I'm going to have to start snapping pics so I can update our blog more frequently. Not much to say tonight. Check back later!

New Year's at Grandma Peela's

Carter loves to be on his feet. I think he might walk before he can crawl! I hope not! So, Grandma Peela took him for a stroll around the kitchen.

If you know Paula, then you know she knows how to throw a party! We had a blast at New Year's. Aunt Debbie and all the Thompson cousins came to celebrate, and Paula and Mark taught us how to play "Left, Right, Center." I don't think too many of us lasted until midnight, but it was a great party!

Carter has his first experience with Rice Cereal at Grandma's house. He didn't know what was goin on.

Happy Birthday Jason!

Well, thanks to Grandma Peela (Jason's Mom) We had our first night alone since we had the baby!! It was so fun. We wanted to celebrate Jason's Birthday...alone... so we decided to spend the night up at the cabin. It was sooo pretty! And awesome to have a night to ourselves. We were a little worried about peeping toms (Kristen and Marko) but, luckily we didn't run into eachother!:)

What a babe! Can I just say- after 5 years of marriage, I love this guy! He's the best husband and Dad, and I know I don't tell him enough, but I don't know what I'd do without ya sweetie!

Baby it's Cold Outside!

We took Carter for a walk in GJ. I thought his nose might freeze off. It was so cold, but we bundled him up, and he was a trooper the whole time. He kind of had that worried look on his face, but he didn't make a peep.

Christmas in Colorado

It was so fun having Carter this year for Christmas. Even though he doesn't have a clue yet, it just made it so much more fun for us. And thanks to Britt and Chris and the boys- he had darling Christmas PJ's and slippers.

I was so excited to give Jase his U of U quilt that I made for him. It was fun having a project to work on while he was gone. I might be more excited about this than he was- but I think he liked it.

And, you can't forget the Christmas toss up (or throwup as we call it). It's been tradition ever since I can remember- to throw all the paper in the air and take a picture after all the gifts are unwrapped. Silly, but one of our funnest traditions.

Well, what can I say?! It was so great to be home. It was fun to be where I grew up and do the usual Christmas traditions. Of course my mom had the place all decked out in Christmas garb, and we spent lots of time in the kitchen. That's definitely one of the best parts about Christmas- the food. Here Somneang is helping my Mom with dinner.
