The week after our trip to Utah, my sister Katie and her family came to visit. It was so fun having them for a whole week!! As you locals know- there's definitely more to see than the strip(although I did brave the long walking and guys passing out their dirty cards for the love of my sister). Here's a little bit of what we did while they were here.

Has anyone ever fed the crazy ducks and geese at Floyd Lamb State Park? You can't tell in this peaceful little picture- but they are a little scary! See that duck sneaking up beside us- it's not the ones that stay in the water that make you nervous. It's the hissing geese that come right up to eat. Jake got a few nibbles on his knees and hands while he was trying to feed them.
Definitely an adventure!
We went hiking up at the Calico hills at Redrock. It was a beautiful day, and made me want to hike more. We lost the trail a little, lost some shoes, and lost our tempers (sadie didn't like the backpack carrier) , but all in all it was a good hike. Definitely one to do again.
Carter thought the rock climbing looked fun so he thought he'd try his hand at it.
After walking all the way up to the Bellagio- the garden was under construction, and they were working on the fountains so we didn't get to see a show. Luckily they got back down there to see one at night.
And we played at the park. Carter had his first ride on the swings, and Totally loved it! He was all smiles. It was sooo fun!!!
All in all, it was a great week. We even got a babysitter and enjoyed a kid free night! We miss you guys already! Carter's wondering where all the fun went!

Yay for babysitters! That's so fun that you got to go on a double date. I agree about the geese at Floyd Lamb... the first time we went there they flocked to us honking like mad birds. It freaked me out a bit. :)
Carter is so big and cute!
Looks like fun. Family time is always the best.
