Mothers Day!

Well, today is the day that we freak out because we realized that we haven't gotten anything for our moms yet! And Mother's day is just around the corner! So, I'll be making a trip to the store- to spend an hour looking at cards! (It takes me forever!) I love it, but I always want the perfect one- and they don't always jump out at you.

I'm also excited because it will be my first official Mother's Day! I love being a mom!(most of the time.)
  • I love getting Carter up in the morning and having him so excited to see us!(although, it doesn't last long when he realizes his belly is hungry.)
  • I love snuggling a sick baby- even though I hate when he's sick, I had to enjoy every half hour of baby einstein, that he let me just hold him.
  • I love when he sees his blanket and just cuddles his body around it. Shuts his eyes, giggles, and curls up on his knees- all because he's so happy to see his blankie.
  • I love when he wakes up at 5 am! NOT REALLY!
  • I love when he gets so excited to see Dad at the end of the day- he just can't wait to steal the pen from his pocket!
  • I love when he learns something new- this week he learned how to wave. We wave bye bye to Daddy every morning now!
  • I love seeing him change and develop every second. He's always learning, and always growing! I can't sit to watch a basketball or football game anymore- because I just want to watch him! I love it!
  • And, I love it when he just needs his Mommy. Nothing's better.

So, even though life changed as I knew it on July 27, 2007. I no longer live by my own schedule- it constantly rotates around his, and we deal with early mornings, and spit up ALL the time, and teething, and stinky diapers, and constant change. I wouldn't trade it for anything. I love you Carter!

And, to our Moms. I obviously never fully appreciated how much you love us! And how much work you went through to raise 4 and 5 kids! And you kept on loving us when we talked back, and didn't do our work, and didn't want to spend time with you. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful Mom and a fabulous Mother-in-Law. I love being able to share all of our special moments with people that we know care just as much as we do. We love you so much!

Hi Molly, we missed you at volley ball. You never know. We just might have won if you had been there. :) If anything, we would have at least had that much more fun with you around.
