I was cleaning up my mess today after planting, and thinking to myself "... Jason's going to be so happy that I cleaned up my mess..." And I just had to smile because I knew it wouldn't be up to par with Jason's standards. My idea of cleaning up the patio, is sweeping the dirt off the patio into the rocks. I realize that I miss stuff along the way, and that there are little bits of bark and dirt that get stuck in the cracks and left behind. I figure the wind will either take care of it or make another mess anyway, so I don't worry about it too much.
Most of you who know us, know that we're pretty laid back, not to anal or particular about things. But, get Jason in the yard and the OCD starts to come out. I think one of Jason's favorite hobbies might be cleaning the cement. He LOVES to get the hose out and spray out the cracks. It's not enough to just sweep it off, he chases the dirt until the cracks are clean and the dirt is where it should be. Sometimes I think he's almost done working- and end up standing there for another 20 minutes watching him clean the patio. This past weekend he actually got the VACCUM out! And vaccumed the cracks! I use to give him a hard time about this little quirk, but now it just makes me smile. After all, I DO enjoy a clean patio.
So, if you ever notice the clean patio when you're in our back yard- you have Jason to thank for that! (Thankfully, he doesn't hold me to the same standards!)

I admire you for planting tomatoes. Someday, I want to have a garden. I should do it soon while I have Lauren living down the street from me. :)
I am impressed Molly! Your a better woman than I!! It was fun to see you and Carter at the park today!

This is hilarious! We could use a little OCD over here in our backyard ... send Jason over. Tell him i want the littlest Pryor to be able to safely lick our patio ... we want it THAT clean! Can you guys accomodate this request? =)
